Separate sealed bids for the W.O. 19-16 Belknap Office Remodel will be received by the City of Billings at the Office of the City Clerk, 210 N. 27 th Street, Billings, MT 59101 or P.O. Box 1178, Billings, MT 59103 until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

Project Description:

  1. The Project consists of selective demolition in several areas of the existing building’s

interior room and spaces. The existing gross building area is approximately 25,383 sf.

2. Areas of work are indicated in the construction documents at approximately 11,852 sf.

3. Note that the work of this contract is located in very tight quarters and adjacent to

occupied spaces. Care should be taken to contain all project demolition debris and dust

from entering occupied spaces during all phases of new construction

There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the Belknap Service Center Conference Room (Site, 2251 Belknap Ave.) on March 3rd, 2020, at 10:00 A.M.

CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 1-406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Yellowstone County and the state of Montana. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the “City of Billings, MT” in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDER(S) shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.

The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
