Separate sealed bids for the construction of W.O. 22-45: Willett Pump Station Improvements will be received by the Billings City Clerk, 210 N. 27th Street, Billings, MT 59101 or P.O. Box 1178, Billings, MT 59103 or bids@billingsmt.gov

The Project generally consists of:

Installation of one (1) new Owner provided 200 HP vertical turbine pump and one (1) new flow meter in Willett Pump Station. This includes demolition, installation of new interior steel process piping, valves, additional 20 inch site piping, 20 inch yard isolation valves, tie in to the existing distribution system, structural corings, and electrical MCC and Owner provided VFD installation to accommodate the new pump.

The plans, specifications, and the official plan holders list may be examined through this site for no charge. In addition, the Drawings and Project Manual may be examined at www.montanabid.com.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There will be a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for all prospective Bidders held May 2, 2023,10:00 AM MT at Willett Pump Station, located at 903 Avenue C, Billings, MT 59101. Interested Contractors are encouraged to attend.

BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: Contractor and any of the Contractor's Subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena MT 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Yellowstone County and the state of Montana. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Each Bid or proposal shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bidder’s Bond payable to the "City of Billings, MT" in an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. Bids submitted via email shall have the bid bond scanned and included with the bid. Bids submitted via mail or hand delivered shall have any of the bid securities included.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids, which is 2:00 p.m. local time Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
