Flashing Yellow Arrow Installation Project Bid No. 16-22 Notice to Contractors Sealed bids for Flashing Yellow Arrow Installation, CMAQ 5418(623), will be received at: 200 Civic Center Drive, Lake Saint Louis MO 63367 until 12:00 Noon (Prevailing Local Time) on the 6th day of April, at the office of the Lake Saint Louis City Clerk, and will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 P.M . All bids shall be submitted in triplicate with "Bid No 16-22 Flashing Yellow Arrow Installation" clearly labeled on envelope.The proposed work includes: Converting 5 traffic signals to flashing yellow arrow signal head and installation of associated equipment. Plans and specifications are now on file and can be viewed at https://?planroom.drexeltech.com/View/?Default.aspx. Plans and specifications can be downloaded or ordered from this site for the fee listed online. Drexel Technologies, 135A Weldon Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, phone 314.872.0900.All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.The City of Lake Saint Louis hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award."All bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.The City of Lake Saint Louis reserves the right to reject any or all bids.The DBE Goal for this project is 10%. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
