On or about 30 May 2023, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for “Powerhouse 1 Battery Replacement, Ft Peck Dam, MT”. The solicitation will close on or about 30 Jun 2023. The solicitation is Small Business Set-Aside.



Site Visit (only include if applicable):



A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation via FAR Clause 52.236-27. The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 07 June 2023 (subject to change).



Project Description:



The Fort Peck Project is located in Fort Peck, Montana on the Missouri River, approximately 20 miles from Glasgow, Montana. There are two plants; Plant 1 contains three generating units; Plant 2 contains two generating units. The Fort Peck Batteries have reached end-of-life cycle and exhibiting signs of failure, it is imperative to start a replacement process.



This project will involve the replacement and testing of the Station Service Battery system at the Ft Peck Project. The contractor shall supply and install the following components:



a. Power Plant #1 UPS Battery:



Procurement of one (1) each sixty (60) cell stationary flooded cell lead acid battery bank.



b. Power Plant #1 Station Service Battery:



Procurement of one (1) sixty (60) cell stationary flooded cell lead acid battery bank.



c. Power Plant #2 Station Service Battery Testing:



Capacity testing of one (1) existing sixty (60) cell stationary flooded cell lead acid battery bank located in Power Plant #2.



d. Power Plant #1 UPS Inverter/Charger:



Optional - Procurement of One (1) Inverter Charger



e. Power Plant #1 & 2 Battery Chargers:



Optional - Procurement of Four (4) Battery Chargers



f. New Battery Rack:



Optional - Provide and install if replacement batteries are not compatible with the existing battery rack.



The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 210 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after solicitation issuance.



Estimated Construction Costs (only include if applicable):



The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
