The contractor shall provide a fully functional existing Automatic Fire Detection System, and a
fully functional existing Manual Fire Alarm System, utilizing all existing operational government
furnished equipment, and materials and components that are found to not be operational but are
necessary for the completion of the project shall be provided by the contractor. The Contractor
shall inspect, troubleshoot, execute any required maintenance and repairs, necessary to get the
systems back up and running with all faults cleared and finally test and certify the systems as
operational.
A government furnished Fire Alarm Control panel, Harrington HS-3200, shall be installed by the
contractor replacing the existing Harrington HS-3400. The contractor shall be qualified on the
instillation and testing of all system components, including a Monaco Transceiver and Harrington
Control Panel HS-3200. Damage to the facility or additional maintenance and repairs required to put
the existing systems back into service, on other than the Fire Systems, shall be the responsibility
of the contractor to repair and make whole. This includes but is not limited to, the existing drop
ceiling and drywall and other interior finishes.
All existing and / or removed strobes, pull stations, detectors, circuit wiring, control panel,
transceiver, breakers, and all other components required to make the existing systems function,
shall be reinstalled, repaired, function checked, tested, and certified as operational by the
contractor. (Table 1) below shows what was existing in each of the 17 rooms of the facility that
shall be reinstalled and certified by the contractor as operational, see (Figure 1) for the
corresponding existing floor plan. Additionally, a fire system CAD as-build shall be provided to
the government after project completion and saved as an .dwg. This file shall encompass both the
Automatic Fire Detection System circuit and a Manual Fire Alarm System circuit and the locations of
all components. The existing CAD as-builds may be provided by the government upon request.
