The 341st Contracting Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, MT intends to award a sole source contract to Mid Mountain Boiler & Steam, for heat plant buckstay tube repair services for the “Heat Plant Unit #1 Buckstay Tube Repair” project at Malmstrom AFB, MT, IAW FAR Part 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency. Mid Mountain previously completed heat plant tube inspection and repair services at Malmstrom AFB in 2022 for three separate requirements and one tube repair in 2023. Consequently, Mid Mountain has on-site knowledge and expertise of Malmstrom's heat plant system and can complete this requirement in an expeditious manner. Until this requirement is awarded and complete, the heat plant is operating at 66% capacity. Delays on the repair will be incurred increasing the risk of possible Plant failure effecting 70 building heating systems.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 2PM MST on 23 January 2024. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.
