This is a Special Notice that the Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS), Blackfeet Service Unit is awarding a non-competitive, sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Matrix Medical Systems Inc., Bozeman, MT. The contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of all regulated medical waste generated by the Blackfeet Service Unit (BFSU) and Heart Butte Clinic (HBC) during the three (3) month contract period.
The associated North American Industry Classification System code is 562112 and the small business size standard is $41.5 million.
PROJECT TITLE: Biohazard Waste removal and disposal.
SERVICE DATE: The contractor shall pick up all stored Biohazard waste during the weekdays, Monday thru Friday: 8 am – 5 pm. Date of service for the purchase order will be 4/10/2023 to 7/10/2023.
SCOPE: The contractor shall provide adequate transportation and storage containers and packaging materials (tubs and red bags) for use in collecting regulated medical waste by staff.
Contractor shall use methods that meet all State and Federal regulations including but not limited to Montana Infectious Waste Management Act (MCA 75-10-1001to 75-10-1007), Administrative Rules of Montana (ARM 17.50.150to 17.50.1508) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), US P800, Guidelines for Compounding Hazardous Drugs, and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements.
