Description

The United States Forest Service, RMRS Fire Sciences Laboratory located at 5775 Hwy 10 W Missoula, MT. 59808 has identified a need for the purchase of one Lathe, one Mill and various parts/add ons. This will be a firm fixed price contract, applicable shipping, install, delivery, customer service/support, and set up prices shall be included in all quotes. The quote deemed as the best value to the Government shall be selected. All Quoters must submit product specification sheets with quotes



The Lathe and Mill must be the brand name or equal to the HAAS TL-2 Lathe and the HAAS TM-2P Mill. Offerors offering other than brand name items identified herein should furnish with their offers adequate information to ensure that a determination can be made as to equality of the product(s) offered.



All proposed substitutions must meet or exceed the following characteristics:



Lathe HAAS TL-2 with the following attachments:



1800-rpm spindle A2-6



Electric Handwheels



Manual Tailstock, MT4



5” manual steady rest



10” manual 3 Jaw Chuck A2-6



4MT #4 Morse Taper Live Center, High Precision



6- Piece Inch Quick Change Tool Post Kit





Mill TM-2P with the following attachments:



10,000 rpm grease-packed spindle



Wireless intuitive Probing system



Automatic Air Gun



Programmable Coolant Nozzle



CT40 NC keyless drill chuck x 3.54” gage length



NPU13 Keyless drill chuck spanner wrench



10-pc CT40 Toolholder kit, TSC



Mill working kit, 6” nabyak vise CT40





Each system must be also have the following: early power failure detection, Safe run mode, Programmable coolant nozzles, automatic air gun, and Support services to include online training videos, service manuals and access to a local service center. Tool work holding kits must be included with offer.
