Notice of Intent to Sole-Source: The 341st Contracting Squadron (341 CONS) – Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana intends to award on a sole-source basis a contract to Hotsy Wy-Mont for the replacement of three (3) Hotsy Wy-Mont power washers for the wash rack at Building 3081 on Malmstrom AFB for the 341st Logistics Readiness Squadron. The current infrastructure of the location for installation (Building 3081) is already utilizing Hotsy components. Additionally, the current wash rack located at Building 1448 on Malmstrom AFB has been installed by Hotsy and the company provides services and maintains the needs of those machines. Because of this, it is more suitable to standardize the wash racks by having the new wash rack at Building 3081 match the already existing infrastructure at Building 1448’s current wash rack installed by Hotsy. This will allow for the wash racks at both buildings to get the proper maintenance while combining warranty and services to only one contractor. Utilizing a new company will cause the government to incur substantial costs to retrofit and accommodate further, rather than upgrading existing components.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
